2013-2020 Women’s New Compulsory Program
What: NEW JO Women’s Compulsory routines and music for Levels 1-5. (Level 6 will be an optional level starting in 2013.)
When: National Workshops to teach the routines will be conducted:
· 1st weekend: May 30 – June 2, 2013….Disneyworld, Florida
· 2nd weekend: June 6- June 9, 2013….Reno, Nevada
· Regional Workshops….TBA
Use: Competition using the new routines will begin August 1, 2013.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – SportsTravel magazine has announced that the 2011 AT&T American Cup and the 2011 USA Gymnastics Open Championships have been nominated for a 2011 SportsTravel Award. Events are nominated by the readers of SportsTravel, the sports world's event magazine.
Final balloting is open through August 15, 2011. Winners will be announced at the TEAMS '11 Conference & Expo, October 3-6, 2011, in Las Vegas.
Official ballots are available in the July and August issues of SportsTravel magazine. Readers may also find more information and vote online at http://www.SportsTravelMagazine.com. The ballot includes nominees in amateur, collegiate and professional categories.
The 2011 AT&T American Cup, held at Veteran’s Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla., crowned newcomer Jordyn Weiber of DeWitt, Mich. and 2010 World Championships all-around bronze medalist Jonathan Horton of Houston all-around champions in March. Then, in June, the 2011 USA Gymnastics Open Championships, staged at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla., brought together a field of more than 700 athletes from 34 states in Junior Olympic level competition for women’s and rhythmic gymnasts.
Prep Optional Levels will remain for the next two seasons
2011-2012 and 2012-2013. The season after that 2013-2014 will be changed to the X-Cel program, per USAG.
There are NO NEW rules for these levels, however some of the wording has been changed for clarification purposes. If anyone has questions about these rules, they should not hesitate to drop me a line…..BEFORE the season starts! (janecaruso@comcast.net)

USAG is working on a National Program which will be called the "X-Cell" program that will take it's place. There is currently no news on rules for this program next year (2012-2013) The good news is, gymnasts in the X-Cell program will be able to compete in any state, as the rules there will be the same.
PA State Clinic will be held September 24th and 25th at Rainbow Riders in Wayesboro.

For Gymnasts
Gymnasts Registration should be mailed in no later that September 1st. The Clinic has always filled quickly in the past.
For Coaches:
There is also a HOTSA course for Coaches on Sunday from 1:00PM until 6:00PM
This is a NEW course designed to provide hands
on training for instructors of school aged and
recreational gymnasts. This course covers a class
safety overview, games, warm-ups, progressions
on bars, floors, and trampoline, lesson planning,
age appropriate skills and drills, and spotting. This
is a live five hour course. – Registration in online
And a Safety Certification Course Saturday Morning from 8:30AM-12:30PM – Registration in online
There will be a Judge's Track for both CPE credits and Volunteer credits available.
Judge's Registration should be mailed in.
Region 7's High Performance Clinic will be held at Woodward on September 16, 17, 18th.
All Level 9 and 10 Gymnast who qualified to 2011 JO Nationals, NIT and Easterns, Plus Alternates, are invited to attend!
